BREAKING: ISRAEL ATTACKS IRAN IN "OPERATION RISING LION"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just announced that Israel has launched “Operation Rising Lion” with dozens of Israeli aircraft attacking Iran’s nuclear and military sites. Israel claims a preemptive attack was necessary because Iran has enough weapons-grade uranium to make, at least, nine nuclear weapons within days, fifteen within weeks.

Netanyahu stated in the video below that Operation Rising Lion will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this “existential threat.” The IDF says the operation will continue until there is never again a possibility of a nuclear-armed Iran.

The IDF states Iran was taken by surprise and attacked in places they did not expect. Assassination attempts have been made on “a wide wave of senior Iranian officials,” but no news was given of their success.

“If this opening strike succeeded — then what we did to senior Hezbollah officials over 10 days — we did to Iran in 10 minutes….”

Iranian state media says there have been a number of deaths after residential buildings in the Iranian capital were hit in an Israeli strike….

Israel believes the chief of Iran’s military, Mohammad Bagheri, other members of the military’s top brass, and senior nuclear scientists were eliminated in the IDF’s opening strikes on Iran.

Warning sirens are blaring across Israel tonight to warn of a likely counterattack, and Netanyahu has described its own attacks as broad with a large number of targets.

US Senator Marco Rubio says the US is not involved; however, Israel says that it is coordinating its actions with the US; so, the US is not in the dark about any of this either.

"Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region," Rubio said in a statement.

"Let me be clear: Iran should not target U.S. interests or personnel," he added.

President Trump was seen on the White House lawn as the reports began coming through with no immediate indication of what he knew.

As I warned about yesterday, it appeared the US was removing embassy personnel from harm’s way in likely anticipation of such an attack and that the bombs would likely start falling the second it was determined US talks with Iran had reached a clear impasse, which would be the same second the US would engage its ready step-up of embassy evacuations from using commercial jets to using the military jets it said it had on stand-by.
